I WAS WRONG ABOUT TRUDEAU...

In a recent blog I said that JT was quick to condemn others for sexual harassment but not himself.

UPDATE:  Just after I published this Blog two things occurred - first new polling came out suggesting that Trudeau was up a solid 2% points which put the Tories at 35% and the Liberals at 33% - really in statistical tie territory.  My comment below that "this election is not over yet" is more prescient than ever.  Second and right on the polling heals came the announcement that Liberal Candidate Saini had resigned from the Campaign.  No mention of Trudeau's hand so I assume the dear fellow simple read the tea leaves and is sparing himself a humiliating defeat since he was of course the incumbent. KG

Well he still does not see anything wrong with His former transgression but suddenly He now sees nothing wrong with sexual harassment claims by seven ...count them ...seven women, one of whom was so distressed she attempted suicide.  The Culprit - Raj Saini, the Liberal Candidate running in the Ontario Riding of Kitchener Centre.

So why the double standard now?  Could it have something to do with Election Day fast approaching and it is now too late to replace this bozo?

So even in the few areas where Trudeau appeared to get things somewhat right - His Principles could not hold in the face of Electoral Advantage.  Shame.

And He dares to call Himself a "Feminist" Prime Minister.

O'Toole, on the other-hand, ditched one of his candidates in Nova Scotia upon a mere hint that he had sexually harassed a woman.

I suspect Trudeau is ruing the day when He decided to Call This Election !!

And speaking of fading Principles, He is obviously afraid to participate in Public Debates.  How else can you explain but One (1) English Debate ...the one that pertains to the vast majority of Canadians.  What about His Claim that His Government Is the Most Open and Transparent in Canadian History?

And how can you explain the one and only English Debate includes Bloc Quebec Leader Yves-Francois Blanchet...i.e. the guy who wants to break-up Canada.  In many countries around the world Blanchet would be in prison convicted of Treason.  Here in Canada he has the freedom to work for the Separation of his Province and is paid a salary and a pension for doing so.  I kinda like the rogue and can even understand somewhat his taking part in the Two (2) French debates in Quebec since he is speaking to other like thinking Quebecers but there is no excuse for him participating in the English Debate.

The Polls continue to decline for Trudeau but this Election is not over yet - So,

Stay Tuned.

Democracy Can Be Sooooooooo

 MESSY !!!

Just ask our traveling roadshow Prime Minister currently touring the country and encountering...are you ready for it - Protests.

Why the nerve of some people !!

You can almost understand His surprise at this turn of events since when first elected Prime Minister in 2015 it was after an Election that saw 'Justin' Mania -- adoring fans from coast to coast couldn't get enough of his nice teeth and beautiful hair.

That of course was then and this ...as they say...is now.

I wonder though what his deceased father Pierre Elliott would say. He who stood up to real thugs ...the FLQ during his time in Office.  Below is what the Canadian Broadcast Corporation had to say at that time:

After calling an election just three weeks after he became Liberal leader, Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau has promised to stem the rise of Quebec separatism and turn Canada into a unified, bilingual nation. On the eve of the election, Trudeau ignores threats of separatist violence and attends Montreal's St-Jean-Baptiste parade. When other officials flee as rioters hurl rocks and bottles, Trudeau refuses to back down. This French CBC Television clip shows Trudeau smiling as the projectiles fly.

By contrast, Justin claims to be afraid, ...it is just not safe.  And speaking of safety do you wonder if he gives a minute's thought to those poor souls he left behind in Afghanistan?

I understand that many - not all, are anti-vaxxers.  Well even though I do not agree whatsoever with their stand, I understand that we are still supposed to be a Democracy and an important part of being so is to allow dissent as long as it is non-violent.  And yet Trudeau is appalled with their antics. But the media has found that there are many others present with various other complaints against Trudeau's Liberal Government which is totally understandable given the turmoil it has caused throughout Canada.

I have not seen any significant violence at these campaign stops but if any occurs it should be rooted out forthwith by the authorities.  But it is interesting to recall that last year the Natives protested - blocking commerce and nothing was done to reign them in.  More recently, 50 or so Churches have been destroyed by arsonists and Trudeau's reply being that this was only understandable. Yuk.

The other reason I believe He is so appalled at opposition appearing at his rallies is that for the past year he has hidden out at Rideau Cottage - facing no hecklers and a docile media there by invitation only.

So as Truman once famously said, if He cannot stand the Heat.. Get Out Of The Kitchen and Go Back to The Cottage.

Justin Trudeau Is Dangerous...

 And Has To Go.

I could begin this blog by reviewing the numerous gaffs and serious mistakes Trudeau has committed since becoming Canada's Prime Minister in 2015 but you know them as well as I do.  I will therefore concentrate on general themes.

First off, the guy has a thin skin.   It is always someone else's fault when things do not go right.  Must be hard to be perfect.

Second. and related to the first, he is not nice - he goes out of his way to point out 'his' perceived imperfections in others.  Harper was mean, Doug Ford is a neo-conservative and the new Tory Leader O'Toole is "even worse than Ford".  (As an aside, if I was O'Toole I would have responded 'this coming from the worst Prime Minister in Canadian History'.)

Third, he is bankrupting Canada to pursue such follies of zero carbon emissions when the real culprits - like China continue their destructive ways.

Fourth, and speaking of China, Trudeau simply adores this country how else can you explain his putting all of his covid eggs in their vaccine basket resulting in the death of innocent Canadians.

Fifth, he beats the drum proudly telling all and sundry that Canada is a Rule of Law Country and then behind the scenes tries to influence our Adjudicators to turn a blind eye to the Law to help his friends.  Bye, Bye Jody Wilson Raybould and Jane Philpott.

Sixth, and speaking of women, according to our Feminist Prime Minister they are always to be believed and many men have been turfed by the PM and his cronies for just that reason.  But when the alleged offender is Justin himself he adeptly explains this away by smugly saying "Women see things differently from men".  How convenient for him and him only.

Seventh and while on the subject of Sexual Harassment, let's not forget the fiasco that has taken place in our Military.  A detailed report was completed by Marie Deschamps in 2015 the same year that saw Trudeau come to power.  Deschamps provided a plan for the Liberals to follow which would have gone a long way to improving things for women at National Defence.  The Liberals though did squat and the only action taken upon being found out earlier this year was to order another Investigation by another retired Supreme Court Justice.  But not only that, they let a retired Lieutenant Colonel and a Woman - Karen McCrimmon face the music as Chair of the  Defence Committee when the matter hit the fan during this last session of Parliament.  Daily she tried to defend the impossible.  Coincidentally, she was my Member of Parliament and after one of these gong shows I emailed her asking her 'as a Woman and a Former Military Senior Officer how can you sleep at night knowing that you are defending a Department of Male Privilege and your tone deaf Leader Trudeau?  Not surprisingly, neither she nor her office replied to my email but it was not long before she announced her retirement from office and in a resignation article she confirmed what I had thought - she did have trouble sleeping at night because she knew of incidents of sexual harassment at DND "which would curl your hair".  I guess I should have been asking Trudeau and his equally delinquent Defence Minister how they are able to sleep at night.

Eighth, our Democracy is on life-support.  Decisions are made not by our elected members but rather by the Prime Minister's Office and Parliament itself has been treated as merely an inconvenient pest.  Filibuster, Prorogue or Simply Shut It Down. He could always count on the suppliant New Democrats to support him in his anti-democratic ways.

Ninth, Trudeau is very much a champion of Death - none of his Members are allowed to voice their opposition to Pro Choice, nor can they speak out against Assisted Suicide.  And you thought we were a democracy where at least matters of conscience could be verbalized safely.

Tenth, and speaking of free speech, His Government is bound and bent to mussel the Internet.  Free Speech and its related Freedoms such as Freedom of Religion, Freedom to Congregate to Peacefully Protest and Freedom of the Press are Cornerstones of Vibrant Democracies.  Should Trudeau get back into power those Freedoms will continue to be in serious jeopardy.

Eleventh, Trudeau loves to diss our Country ...to point out its deficiencies as determined by You Know Who.  Nothing the Guy loves better than to give an Apology - again as long as it does not involve something he has done wrong. For months now our flag on Parliament Hill has flown at half staff - but in Trudeau's mind Canada's Flag always flies at this reduced height.  He has made it known that if push came to shove he would return to his home Province of Quebec or should I say Nation of Quebec since that is what He has endorsed.

Despite all of the above, the day that Trudeau called this snap and totally unnecessary election He and his Party were headed for Majority Government Status.  That same day however, Afghanistan's capital Kabul fell to the Taliban.  Now he will be lucky to attain Minority Status.  Daily Canadians see that our Citizens and our Allies trapped to their fate at the hands of the blood thirsty Taliban.  The resultant shame and humiliation for Canada has decidedly turned the Election on its head.

So will the Grits (aka) Liberals squeak out a minority?  For that we will have to await the polls that come out closer to Election Day - September 20th and much with respect to that will depend on which of the two major parties does better in the 905 Region of Ontario since that vote rich area will determine the Winner.

FISCAL CONSERVATIVES ARE ALSO LEFT HOMELESS...

My recent Blogs have highlighted that all of the current parties in Canada's Underway Election do not have any room for Conservatives...in other words they have all drunk of the Progressive - left of centre coolaide.

Your Mother tells me that I have to lighten up and focus entirely on seeing Canada's worst Prime Minister in history - Justin Trudeau defeated come September 20th Election Day.

Well of course you and I know full well that this is my Blog so I quickly responded to you mum ..."Yes Dear".

So from now on until the 20th I will write my 'Domestic' Blogs with the exclusive purpose of helping to see Trudeau defeated. But before I do ...just one more on the sad state of affairs for us orphaned Tories.

I have spent a great deal of time explaining why Social Conservatives feel unloved and rejected but much less so why we Fiscal Tories should feel likewise.

Let's look at the 3 major Parties from the Perspective of the Canadian Taxpayers Federation.

In their article appearing in yesterday's Ottawa Sun - Franco Terrazzano and Jay Goldberg perceptibly had this to say:

The New Democratic Party (NDP) - plan to increase income taxes; business taxes, and capital gains taxes; they would also impose wealth taxes; excess profit taxes, luxury taxes; foreign home buyers taxes; and a taxes on internet giants.   They have no plan to balance the Budget.

The Liberals (Grits) - since they are the Party in Power, we can rely upon their track record to paint a current picture of where things stand economically.  Trudeau's inflation adjusted per person spending is higher than during the Second World War and if he and his party are re-elected, permanent government spending will be $100 Billion per year over what it was in 2019. The Parliamentary Budget Officer forecasts that our  National Budget will not be in balance until 2070 ...some 50 years in the future.  What he is really saying is "Never".

The Conservatives (Tories) - Taxpayers are told by the Federation not t hold their breath waiting for Erin O'Toole to balance the budget despite their promise to do so "within the next decade".  They offer no plans nor propose any credible targets to shrink the deficit so again they will tame the debt/deficit on a wing and a prayer. "In fact, O'Toole is proposing to spend billions the government doesn't have on new programs".

The above will result in Debt and Deficits that will be a major drain on Taxpayers' wallets for generations to come.

And sadly we have no choice but to vote for this.

Now enough of this - let's now turn our attention to defeating Justin Trudeau and his Band of Sycophants and in the immortal words of Val Sears - famous reporter for the Toronto Star said as he boarded their Election Plane during the 1963 Federal Election that Prime Minister John Diefenbaker would lose:  "To work, gentlemenwe have a government to bring down".

Boy, those words are even more relevant today.

SADLY, MOST CANADIANS ARE PROGRESSIVES...

IN FACT, THAT HANDLE APPLIES TO UPWARD OF 70%.

And now, all of our major federal parties are comfortably positioned there... left of centre.

The last hold-out was our Conservative Party but under its current leader - Erin O'Toole, the party has moved to this 'other side'.

So which party now represents the 30 % or so of us that are right of centre?  None of course.  Once it was the Conservative Party .. but only 'sort-of', since for as long as I can remember, the Party has backed as many liberal policies as it has conservative ones.

I have mentioned it on numerous occasions but it is worth saying here once again that a true conservative stands for balanced budgets, small governments and free economies.  Those goals have become a long forgotten memory.

America used to be a beacon of true conservatism but in recent years it too has been slowly drifting into the progressive morass - (aka)...authoritarianism.

I said in a recent blog that should the Conservatives come out of the current election in a minority position it would actually be a loss for them since, unlike the Liberals...they could not expect the leftist New Democratic Party to support them.  I am beginning to think I was wrong in that analysis.  Indeed, with O'Toole, the NDP might very well see clear to supporting him and his left wing Conservative Party in order to get their own extreme agenda through parliament.

And I am not alone in seeing the Tories turn from Conservative Blue to Liberal Red since many respected analysts are coming to the same conclusion.

Since being elected in 2015, the Liberals have spent like drunken sailors and in so doing have impoverished future generations of Canadians.  The Other Parties now promise to do the very same. All the while, the cost of living is sky-rocketing and for too many, home ownership has become a distant dream. The once fiscally Conservatives are promising to balance the federal budget by the end of 10 years which not only will not happen but by the end of that time who will even remember their promise.

The other amazing thing about the bountiful promises now spewing forth from party leaders is the fact that they mostly relate to matters of Provincial Concern and the Provinces are in such desperate financial straits that they are acquiescing in the face of this full court press by the Feds. The Goliath gets bigger and bigger and more remote from the people... where is David when you need him.

For me - a true conservative it means I will be voting Libertarian assuming our Riding even has such a representative.  If not, Sir John 'A' even dead is looking like a good write-in bet.

But permit me to end on a positive note, as the election progresses it looks more likely that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau may be campaigning for the last time and with that would end the Reign of one of the worst Prime Ministers in Canadian history since his Dad, Pierre Elliott ran in the 70s and 80s.

AFGHANISTAN

Trudeau's Waterloo?

When Trudeau launched Canada's Federal Election Campaign just short days ago, the very same day, the Taliban conquered Kabul and the whole of Afghanistan lay at their feet.

Up to that point, Trudeau and his Liberal Party were in line for a majority government come election day on September 20th. The only real issue standing in their way was that he had called the Election in the 4th Wave of the Covid 19 (Delta) Pandemic.  But with the fall of Kabul, he now faces a much bigger obstacle in realizing his electoral dreams.

Those who had helped Canada during our time fighting there were now trapped like rats along with their families.  The writing had been on the wall for some time but the Trudeau Government did diddly to bring them safely here to Canada. It looked like a safe bet since the so-called experts predicted the Fall but believed the timing was months away rather than mere hours. In other words, Trudeau and his Brain Trust believed that the Election would be well and truly over by that time.  Now of course it is too late.

So Trudeau has discovered, to his overwhelming dismay, that it is most difficult to brag about his supposed Government's successes while watching Afghans fall from Aeroplan's' under-carriages.

If Trudeau was smart, which we know is not the case, he would have immediately ceased campaigning in the face of this human tragedy and devoted all of his time to getting our allies and their families out of this doomed nation.

This will likely mean minority status for the Liberals and even possibly minority status for the Conservatives.  In essence though minority status for the Libs really will equate to majority territory since they can count on the suppliant New Democrats to support them come what may.  Conversely, even if the Tories squeak a minority - it would last but minutes in the scheme of things since those same Liberals and NDP'ers will gang up and use their combined majority to throw O'Toole and his crew out.

Canada has after all become a most Progressive Nation but sadly not in a 'Progressive' Conservative way.

But there is something that surpasses Elections...Win or Lose and that concerns the needless loss of life and on both of these two counts ...the Virus and Afghanistan he has failed miserably.  He put his full trust in China developing an effective vaccine that they would share with Canada.  They quickly reneged... dooming many to death.  No apologies from Justin.  In the case of Afghanistan, our troops have been gone since 2014 and yet not a finger did Trudeau lift to get our domestic allies out of harm's way.  Now of course it is too late and once again - no apology given in the face of their death at the hands of these Taliban Monsters.  How the guy can sleep at night ...I simply do not know.

Hypocritic Oath

The other more well known Oath is the Hippocratic Oath wherein Physicians  pledge to prescribe only beneficial treatments, according to his or her abilities and judgment and to refrain from causing harm or hurt to their patient.

The Hypocritic Oath, in contrast, turns the above up-side-down and extends its blessing to eliminating the patient entirely from the face of this earth.

Sadly, the Medical Community has more or less acquiesced to what politicians in their conscious effort to reduce health care costs on the basis that dead people use up less resources than sick ones.

Your Mother was once the Chair of West Ottawa Hospice while I was a Board Member.  The Principle of Hospice is to provide a special kind of care that focuses on the quality of life for people and their caregivers who are experiencing an advanced, life-limiting illness. Hospice Care provides compassionate care for people in the last phases of incurable disease so the they may live as fully and as a comfortable as possible including free of pain.

At that time, our Hospice was Home Delivered Care by a vast team of specially trained volunteers ...and since then it now includes actual Hospice Premises with beds.

The idea behind Hospice was to celebrate life and to act as a counter to MAID - Medical Assistance In Dying, with the latter now taking on a life of its own ...pardon the pun. Since the inception of MAID in Canada in 2016 some 14,000 have chosen death by medical suicide and those numbers are growing with each passing year.  And they no longer have to be near death to qualify for this life ending procedure - most are elderly but the young and the disabled are also included.

To add insult, Hospices are now losing their funding if they refuse to include MAID in their tool box of help.

In her recent and most insightful letter to an Editor, Doctor E. Warner had this to say about MAID:

The decision of our political leaders to solve our health care crisis by convincing the Canadian Public that murdering our most expensive citizens - the olde, the disabled and the chronically ill - is the sign of an enlightened, compassionate society is beyond egregious. It not only signals the impending collapse of our health-care system but heralds the moral collapse of our society as a whole.

I end with Dylan Thomas' immortal words:

Do not go gentle into that good night.

Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

We Will All Be Better Off For It.
